## Topic: Individual and Team Sports
### Objectives:
1. Understand the key differences and similarities between individual and team sports.

### Materials Needed:
- Cones
- Basketballs
- Soccer balls
- Whistle

- Soft foam balls or tennis balls

### Lesson Structure:

#### Warm-Up Activities (10 minutes)
- Dynamic stretches (e.g., jumping jacks, high knees, arm circles).

#### Introduction to Individual Sports (20 minutes)

- **Jump Rope Challenge**: Have students practice different jump rope techniques (basic jump, criss-cross, double-unders).

#### Team Sports Activities (20 minutes)
1. Discuss what team sports are and give examples (e.g., soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball).
2. Skill Practice:
- **Basketball Drills**: Dribbling, passing, and shooting.
- **Soccer Drills**: Dribbling, passing, and shooting. Set up small goals or use cones as targets.
#### Team Activity – Mini Games (15 minutes)
1. Divide the class into small teams.
2. Set up a rotation for mini-games:
- **Soccer**: 3v3, focus on passing and teamwork.
- **Basketball**: 3v3, focus on passing and communication.
- Rotate every 5 minutes.
#### Cool Down and Reflection (10 minutes)
- Guided static stretching (e.g., hamstring stretch, quad stretch, shoulder stretch).
- Sit in a circle and discuss with the students:
- What did they enjoy most about the individual activities?
- What did they enjoy about the team activities?
- How are the teamwork and communication different in individual versus team sports?
### Assessment:
- Observe students’ participation and effort during activities.
- Note their ability to perform basic skills in both individual and team sports.
- Encourage peer feedback on what they observed during the mini-games.
### Closing (5 minutes)
- Summarize the key points of the lesson.
- Encourage students to think about which sports they enjoy the most.
- Remind students about the importance of staying active and participating in various types of physical activities both in and out of school.
- Announce the next lesson (if applicable).
